In Asiago, nature takes center stage. Grab your backpack, put on a pair of comfortable shoes, and wander down the trails that crisscross the plateau. Stroll through lush forests, the meadows full of flowers, and enjoy the view of the mountains. In summer, hiking trails such as the easy shared use path "Strada del Vecchio Trenino" are not to be missed, while in winter, ski slopes and snowshoe trails offer a snowy adventure.
A hiking trail not to be missed is Calà del Sasso. An itinerary comprising a staggering 4444 steps from the Brenta Valley to the Asiago Plateau, crossing green and rocky landscapes.

Visit the Astronomical Observatories
Climbing to the top of Ekar will take you to the Cima Ekar Observing Station, which is home to one of the biggest optical telescopes on Italian soil!
You can set off directly from the campsite; to reach the summit you only need to walk about 3 km, admiring unique landscapes on the way up. The Observatory features two large domes, and it is near it that you will find Asiago's famous yellow giant bench. It is the perfect place to take fun photos, with a fabulous view of the entire Plateau as a backdrop! Additionally, you can take a nature trail featuring works and sculptures by various local artists. Finally, you can stop by the quaint alpine hut (open only in summer), located a few meters from the bench.

Experience the History
Asiago is a land steeped in history. Visit World War I forts and cemeteries for a plunge into the past that deeply affected these places. The Asiago War Museum tells touching stories through important military artifacts. Then don't miss a visit to the 19th-century military barracks Fort Interrotto, which can be reached by a beautiful walk from Camporovere. To complete your visit to the Forts of the Great War go to Fort Corbin, recently renovated and easily reachable, even directly by car.
